Hello and welcome! My name is Christina, and I currently live in Maryland, USA. I grew up in the Albany, NY area and went to undergraduate college there. Then I moved to Cambridge, MA with my husband (boyfriend then). My husband earned his PhD while I worked as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer. After my husband earned his degree, we moved to Maryland so he could start his job, and I continued working as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer. Right before leaving Massachusetts, we had our first child and 2.5 years later had a second. We also have a cat and a dog!
During my second year of undergraduate college, I decided I no longer wanted to eat the cafeteria food on campus. What I really wanted to do was create my own food. I started with the most basic meals like dried spaghetti and jarred marinara sauce (and, yes, this is a perfectly acceptable meal – pre-made is ok!). As time went on, I started making dishes that were a little more complex. I really enjoy taking a recipe and making it my own as well as creating my own from scratch! And I love when I get a new recipe to add to my collection. In September 2010, my senior year of undergraduate college, I adapted the vegetarian lifestyle which means I do not eat any kind of animal flesh, only plants, dairy and eggs. I only make vegetarian dishes, so that means all recipes you find here will be vegetarian.
I really love making my own food and find I can try so many dishes that I otherwise wouldn’t have been able to. I want all of you to be able to make delicious food at home, too. I try my best to write my recipes is an easy to understand way with as much information as possible. They are tested over and over again. I want you to be successful when following my recipes. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
